Progress Report
Our manatees have done such a great job in citizenship this week! Everyone stayed on green all week. This is a first all year! As a reward, we ate lunch together in the classroom and had an extra 10 minutes of recess time. Way to go!

Field Trip
Egg-y Easter! Easter is just around the corner! To celebrate this special holiday, the students will have an Easter Egg hunt at Sunset Kids' Park. Please send in 15 plastic eggs filled with 1 wrapped candy by March 25. Don't forget to bring in those baskets on March 26 to collect eggs. Please send your child in comfortable walking shoes. This is a walking field trip! Let me know if you did not receive a handout about this event. They went out in last Friday's folders.

Progress Report
Hooray for Science! We had a great time learning about our favorite classroom mammal, manatees! Some of us have seen manatees in real life! We enjoyed listing characteristics of mammals that live in the water. Please click on "manatees" for a link to basic facts about Florida manatees.
Test Tip
We have a science test coming up on March 19. Please have your child prepare by going over the chapter review. Your child must be able to list the characteristics of mammals.

Test Tip
A math test is coming up on March 12. Your child needs to review chapter 8 by focusing on creating pictographs, understanding and answering questions about bar graphs, and learning to solve ordered pairs. A chapter review highlighting these skills will go home today.
Progress Report
Way to go! Many students have memorized their multiplication tables up to the 12's! Excellent job! If your child has not finished memorizing, please look for their math goal in their weekly folder. Our manatees are all trying to get to their 12's by May!

Field Trip
Tomorrow we are going to the Science Center! We will participate in hands-on activities, learn about pollution, and view tiny animals under a microscope. Please send your child in comfortable walking shoes. Don't forget to pack a sack lunch and drink. We will have lunch on the beach.
